A lovely collector's walking stick, this has a long blackthorn shaft of between 4 feet and 4 feet 6 inches in length, brass collar and resin head, styled to look like a Black Labrador Retriever's head.

These nickel steel, spiked ferrules (also called Alpine ferrules) are especially designed for hiking staves. They are available in a range of external diameters from 16 to 26mm. This tough nylon spiked ferrule is fixed to the staff or thumbstick via a long metal screw, the head of which acts as the base of the ferrule. When hiking on hard ground, the metal tipped spike may be covered by ferrule 3560 which is sold separately (see below).
